My Tent

The tent I use at rendezvous gets lots of comments.  Some people are looking for former owners or other folks who have one similar to it.  Others talk about how it is a great Rev War or F&I War tent.  In actuality, it is a proper, period correct, rendezvous correct tent.  It is documented along side teepees in Alfred Jacob Miller’s paintings of the 1837 rendezvous.

The wedge tent has been in use for many centuries.  Panther Primitives says “The wedge tent is very easy to put up (only 3 poles needed) which makes it history’s most popular tent.”  I have been very pleased with mine.  I have enough room for my bed, dogs and gear.  Miller’s painting entitled “Our Camp” shows a wedge tent very much like mine.

I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them.).
